Nonsense at its Finest: Day 28

I came. I coughed up a lung. I bruised my diaphragm. No kidding. That's what it feels like.

Addie(6):: to Eli after I told him to put away the dishes:: Hey, I just got a text from your mom. She said PUT AWAY THE DISHES!!
Sam (4)::after I told him he is not being a good listener:: YOU are not a good LISTENER!!!
Izzy (12):: after I make fun of her:: Your face is ugly.
Sam (4):: after being told to sit properly at the dinner table:: I am just a kid! A TINY tiny KID!
Sam (4): Are we really not going anywhere? We are just walking? (me: yes) ::Sam with a mad face:: You are rude.
Addie (4): Mommy, Nanie is a toddler because she is so short.
Addie (4): ::eye roll:: That is ridiculous.
Layla (6) ::after Eli said 'who's Taylor Swift?':: She is part of the Swift family.
ADDIE (3) ::to the tune of Holy, Holy:: holy, moley, mooooley
SAM (nearly 2) You're EW! ::laugh maniacally::
ELI (3) HMMM! That's weird. My weiner won't go down.
Isabelle (4) ::laughing:: Oh Mommie, you crap me up!
ELI (6) ::with tear filled eyes after learning about slavery:: That means Auntie Mel couldn't have married Uncle Kristopher and she would be our slave!!
Layla (4) ::after I jokingly said we were driving the children to the desert to drop them off:: SNIFF Really, Mommie!??

What's YOUR Dream? Everyone who comes to Hollywood has got a dream!

These goals are probably all short term in reality, but this is all I am capable of right now. Short term is good.
Short Term: drink my alloted water each day, work out twice this coming week, write my team paper and presentation.
Medium Term: Write press release for upcoming lemonade outreach, get caught up on laundry (pipe dream), practice guitar three times this week.
Long Term: Take a summer vacation with The Man and our kiddos, have an overnighter with my husband somewhere other than here, finish this last and final forever stinking class.

WELL, WHAT DO YOU KNOW?

What do you wish you were better at? Everything. Is that too over-achieving? Okay, then, photography, organization, keeping my mouth shut, playing instruments, and staying on task.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A teacher. I would love to teach deaf/hearing impaired children or English language learners. I hope to be a professor at some point.
What is your favorite movie? Is that a joke? How do you decide something like that? I will say there are four movies I have had to repurchase after wearing out the tapes: Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck, Father of the Bride II, and You've Got Mail.
What are your addictions? Blogging, reading, watching the Food Network, watching home design shows, mocking others
What do you do in your free time? I like to squeeze in a shower. Before becoming a mother, I never thought showering would become a hobby.
Why do you have such large hair? My parents are Lebanese and Italian; apparently they are part of a secret research program designed to create the missing link and/or the hairiest children possible.
What was your dream job(s) as a kid? Astronaut, lawyer, vet (the animal kind), mother, teacher, wife, monkey trainer. Well, at least I got to do the last four :)
